standard Tests                 The Standard Test Method Anaerobic Digestion of plastic Materials by ASTM measures the degradation of the test material by the amount of biogas released during its biodigestion by microorganisms. The biodegradation percentage is the ratio of the biogas produced by the test material compared with the theoretical amount produced in case of complete mineralization.         The test simulates the biodegradation behaviour of a material under composting conditions. The weight loss of the product is measured vs. time. The results give an indication of the biodegradation rate of Earthsoul® items when disposed of in this specific environment.         Certification     The compostability of some products manufactured with Earthsoul® is certified by the "Ok Compost" and "Din Certco" labels.         Copyright 2006 Earthsoul India.
